Coaches: Developmental Team 9-11 year olds · 1 Two hour practice per week · Holiday tournament (2 day tournament in town) · 6 Region tournaments (3-4 matches per tournament) · November 2011 to April 2012 Uniform: 1 jersey, spandex & back pack $475 at registration · Focus on fundamental skills and fine tuning basic skills o Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting, etc. · Introduction to Competitive Volleyball o Practice 1 times per week, multiple matches in one day tournaments · Learning to love the game o Team bonding, cooperative learning, leadership positions, etc. · Introduction to position play and learning each position o Setter, Hitter (outside, middle, right side), Defensive specialist, etc. · Introduction to earning playing time on the court according to the criteria listed above and positions o Every practice player’s A.E.P. earns their playing time · Everyone will get an opportunity to play at every tournament but it will not be equal · Practice attendance is mandatory for tournament participation **Criteria for playing time on all teams= Attitude, Effort & Performance (A.E.P.) and not always in that order. AZVC believes in our "No Surprises Policy". Everything your player will need to participate in our club is included in your season cost. Anything offered in addition to your Season Cost is optional.
