Coaches & Staff:

Aumee Barrett:
An alumni of Ironwood High School, Aumee was the standout starting setter in the state of Arizona for her three years on the Varsity Volleyball team.   During her high school career she was First Team All Region for 2003, 2004 & 2005 and received All State Honorable mention.  Aumee led her team to the Quarter finals of State her Junior year and the State Semi Finals her Senior year.  Aumee played club volleyball for 7 years.  As a first year coach, Aumee is excited to work with her team on fundamentals, technique and team building.  Aumee's love for the game and dedication will drive her team to success.

Bethany Holtorf
:
Bethany started playing club volleyball at the age of 12 with Phoenix’s North Valley Volleyball Club and went on to play seven more seasons there. She played four years Varsity volleyball, with two back to back state championships. Bethany continued her career at Grand Canyon University. She played NCAA – Division II volleyball for three years at G.C.U., then continued to Arizona State University –West. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. For the last three years Bethany has assisted her mother at Oasis Elementary School, coaching 7th and 8th grade volleyball. She is excited about coaching the 12’s team, and looks forward to developing the girl’s
fundamentals.

Bob Levardo: 16's Head Coach

Bob has been a stand out coach in Arizona for many years.  He has coached 7 seasons of High School Volleyball and 8 seasons Club Volleyball.  He is CAP Certified.  Bob enjoys playing and coaching.  His philosophies are to teach volleyball skills, a competitive spirit, sportsmanship and team spirit.   He believes in giving players the most positive experience at the same time as teaching them important life skills about communication and responsibility. 

Dale Jones: 14's Coach
Dale has been associated with Club volleyball for the past eight years.  He is impact certified and has coached teams from the 13's to 16's age groups.  In 2004 his 16's club team won the AA division at Regionals.  Dale has also coached at the High School level as an assistant Varsity coach and as the Head Freshman coach for four years.  His record of 55 wins and only 4 losses (2004 season went undefeated) in three years shows his dedication to volleyball and the girls that have played for him. Dale's 14-1's team from AZVC placed in 3rd in the AZ region in 2007.

Davina Barrett: Uniforms & Apparel
In 2001, Davina founded First Impression apparel and uniforms.   Her company supplies several volleyball clubs and school teams with uniforms and apparel. First Impression also does screen printing and embroidery for businesses and schools as well.   Davina is the best at what she does and we are so happy that she handles all our uniform and apparel ordering.  If you have any questions please contact her at

Heath Van Patten: Strength & Conditioning
Heath received his Business degree from Northern Arizona University and is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He has received his Masters of Science in Exercise Science: Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. Van Patten has trained many top athletes in high school and college. He owns a local sports training facility, Elite Fitness that focuses on speed, power, quickness, strength, and flexibility. Heath has a passion to get the most out of athletes both on and off the field. In his spare time, Heath is involved in soccer, baseball, softball, strength training, cycling, and triathlons. He also enjoys being outdoors hiking, camping, running, biking and spending time with family and friends. He makes his home in Phoenix with his wife of two years, Jackie.

Janet Greene: 15's Head Coach
Janet got CUT from the 7th grade volleyball team at her small Christian School in Hesperia, CA.  Despite the initial set back, she went on to play volleyball from 8th grade through college.  In high school she played 3 years on varsity going to State Finals her Junior year as a starting outside hitter.  Following high school, Janet went on to play at Bethany College in Santa Cruz, CA.  After 4 years starting middle and receiving her degree in psychology, she went on to try her hand at beach volleyball as well as coach both club and private lessons in California.  In 2006 Janet and her husband moved out to Arizona and despite missing the beautiful ocean, Janet still keeps her love of volleyball alive.  She has a strong passion for the game and her goals as a coach are to challenge her athletes both in their volleyball skills and thought processes to improve their level of play while building lasting friendships and making unforgettable memories.

Julia Hunter: 18's Head Coach
Julia played two years of volleyball at Scottsdale Community College where she helped lead the team to a 2nd place National finish her sophomore year.  She also was named first team all region, first team all conference and first team All American during her sophomore year.  She then went on to play Division I volleyball at University of Texas-San Antonio where she contributed to a second place finish in the regional tournament and was named first team all Regional Tournament.  Julia earned her degree at UTSA in kinesiology.  She currently works at Athletes' Performance in Tempe.  She coaches high school athletes and works in the nutrition department helping professional, semi-professional and college athletes with their performance nutrition plans.  Julia cooks for the athletes and helps to show them how to eat appropriately to better enhance their performance.  She has coached club volleyball for four years and looks forward to coaching more.  Julia is currently working on her Master's Degree in Education and hopes to eventually teach health sciences and coach volleyball at the high school level.

Lauren Wakefield: 15's Assistant Coach
Lauren started playing volleyball when she was eight years old.  She played six years of club volleyball as a Libero and Setter.  She also played three years as a Libero and DS for Sunrise Mountain High School.  As a freshman, Lauren helped lead her high school team to their first undefeated volleyball season.  Lauren is Impact certified and looks forward to coaching.  She brings a passion for the sport and a drive to excel. Lauren currently attends Glendale Community College and besides playing volleyball, loves to snowboard.

Liz Levardo: 12's Coach
Liz played volleyball since she was 13. Liz played 3 years of varsity volleyball at Sunrise Mountain as their starting setter. She received many honors. Liz also ran track in high school and was the state champion of high jump in 2002. After high school she played 3 years at Grand Canyon University as their Libero/ DS. She graduated in May of 2008 with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She has been coaching club volleyball for 7 years and looks forward to every season. She has a passion for this game and loves to share that with the athletes she coaches. Liz' goal has been to teach the fundamentals, have fun and give her players the best opportunities to learn the game.

Major Williams: 13's Head Coach

Major Williams has helped young girls gain confidence in their volleyball skills by teaching the fundamentals of volleyball and concepts of winning as a team. He is impact certified. Major took a serious interest in the year 2004 when his daughter decided she wanted to play. Like many places around the valley there were not enough coaches and he volunteered his services with the City of Peoria and the YMCA competitive and non-competitive league. Over the years he has coached many girls and this year ten of the twelve 7th grade girls made their junior high school teams, many of the girls competing against 60+ girls for 12 positions.   


Rachael Thompson: 14's Head Coach
Rachael played competitive volleyball since she was eleven years old.  Rachael played three years of Varsity Volleyball at Centennial High School as the starting setter and received many region and state honors.  She chose not to play in college and attended 2 years at Brigham Young University.  Rachael has coached club volleyball in Arizona for the past 8 seasons. She is impact certified and has coached teams from the 12's to 18's age groups. With a competitive spirit and passion for the game, Rachael has led many teams to successful seasons. Her focus is on fundamentals, technique, and bringing out the best in each player.  

Raymond Jojola: 16's Head Coach
Raymond coached for two years as an assistant coach at Flagstaff High School and Sinagua High School.  Both years his teams had top ten rankings in 4A and competed at the State Tournament.  Raymond helped manage the NAU women's Volleyball team under Kelley Silva Mckee and Brent Aldridge (now coaching for BYU).  Raymond focuses on defense, serving and teaching the swing block method.  He enjoys the challenge of bringing a group of girls together.  Raymond applies his experience to coaching, creating a fun and successful season.  

Whitney Jones: 14's Coach
Whitney played club volleyball and school volleyball for 5 years.  After her senior year she decided to give coaching a try. She has been an assistant coach for the past three years and this will be her 4th season assisting with her dad, Dale Jones. She is Impact certified and has coached age groups from the 13's to the 16's level. She excelled in high school volleyball as well and played at the Varsity level for 2 years at Sunrise Mountain High School. Whitney has great dedication and passion for volleyball and the girls she coaches.
