Bob Levardo: 16's Travel Coach
Bob has been a stand out coach in Arizona for many years.  He has coached 7 seasons of High School Volleyball and 8 seasons Club Volleyball.  He is CAP Certified.  Bob enjoys playing and coaching.  His philosophies are to teach volleyball skills, a competitive spirit, sportsmanship and team spirit.   He believes in giving players the most positive experience at the same time as teaching them important life skills about communication and responsibility. 

Dale Jones: 14's Travel Coach
Dale has been associated with Club volleyball for the past eight years.  He is impact certified and has coached teams from the 13's to 16's age groups.  In 2004 his 16's club team won the AA division at Regionals.  Dale has also coached at the High School level as an assistant Varsity coach and as the Head Freshman coach for four years.  His record of 55 wins and only 4 losses (2004 season went undefeated) in three years shows his dedication to volleyball and the girls that have played for him. Dale’s 14-1's team from AZVC placed in 3rd in the AZ region in 2007.

Davina Barrett: Uniforms & Apparel
In 2001, Davina founded First Impression apparel and uniforms.   Her company supplies several volleyball clubs and school teams with uniforms and apparel. First Impression also does screen printing and embroidery for businesses and schools as well.   Davina is the best at what she does and we are so happy that she handles all our uniform and apparel ordering.  If you have any questions please contact her at

Janet Greene: 15's & 18's  Coach
Janet got CUT from the 7th grade volleyball team at her small Christian School in Hesperia, CA.  Despite the initial set back, she went on to play volleyball from 8th grade through college.  In high school she played 3 years on varsity going to State Finals her Junior year as a starting outside hitter.  Following high school, Janet went on to play at Bethany College in Santa Cruz, CA.  After 4 years starting middle and receiving her degree in psychology, she went on to try her hand at beach volleyball as well as coach both club and private lessons in California.  In 2006 Janet and her husband moved out to Arizona and despite missing the beautiful ocean, Janet still keeps her love of volleyball alive.  She has a strong passion for the game and her goals as a coach are to challenge her athletes both in their volleyball skills and thought processes to improve their level of play while building lasting friendships and making unforgettable memories.

Julia Hunter: 18's & 15's Coach & Competitive Edge Training Founder
Julia played two years of volleyball at Scottsdale Community College where she helped lead the team to a 2nd place National finish her sophomore year.  She also was named first team all region, first team all conference and first team All American during her sophomore year.  She then went on to play Division I volleyball at University of Texas-San Antonio where she contributed to a second place finish in the regional tournament and was named first team all Regional Tournament.  Julia earned her degree at UTSA in kinesiology.  She currently works at Athletes' Performance in Tempe.  She coaches high school athletes and works in the nutrition department helping professional, semi-professional and college athletes with their performance nutrition plans.  Julia cooks for the athletes and helps to show them how to eat appropriately to better enhance their performance.  She has coached club volleyball for four years and looks forward to coaching more.  Julia is currently working on her Master's Degree in Education and hopes to eventually teach health sciences and coach volleyball at the high school level.

Linsey Noorlander:14's Coach
Linsey started playing volleyball when she was 10 years old.  She played club for eight years and started for the varsity volleyball team as an outside hitter for three years at Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls.  She led her team to win the state tournament her senior year with a 37-3 record.  She then went on to play volleyball for Snow College in Utah for two years.  Linsey began coaching club in 2005 with the Davis Juniors in Utah and the last team she coached took 3rd in their Regional Tournament. She has also coached at the high school level for five years, coaching the Junior Varsity and assiting the Varsity. Linsey loves the game of volleyball and loves coaching.  Her goal in coaching is to help players develop the love and passion she has for the sport and help them be the best they can, on and off the court. 

Makaela Glidewell: 13’s Coach
Makaela started playing volleyball when she was 9 years old. She loves volleyball with an insane passion! The positions she has played are setter, opposite, and outside. Makaela has played for several of the coaches at AZVC throughout the years. She is currently a senior at Sunrise Mountain where she played 4 years of volleyball. This year will be Makaela’s second season assistant coaching with AZCVC and she hopes to learn from her head coaches to become one herself. Makaela loves the girls she coaches and hopes to help them improve their skills and show them how much fun volleyball can be.

Rachael Thompson: Club Director & Coach
Rachael played competitive volleyball since she was eleven years old.  Rachael played three years of Varsity Volleyball at Centennial High School as the starting setter and received many Region and State honors.  She played three season's of Club volleyball in high school.  Rachael also played Basketball and ran Track in high school as well.  Rachael has coached club volleyball in Arizona for the past 11 seasons. With a competitive spirit and passion for the game, Rachael has led many teams to successful seasons. Her focus is on fundamentals, technique, and bringing out the best in each player.  In 2006, Rachael opened AZVC with a comitment to help each player achieve their goals in volleyball and provide an all encompassing competitive club. 

Taylor Beilmann: 17's Coach
Taylor has been playing volleyball for over ten years. She has played six seasons of club one of which she played the opening year for AZVC. She attended Sunrise Mountain High School where she played two years of varsity and then continued playing at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. After her freshman year of college Taylor moved back to the Glendale area and played for the Gauchos this past season at Glendale Community College. Her team ended up with a 17-1 season in which they also won their entire division and junior college conference. Next year Taylor hopes to play university volleyball and earn a degree in secondary education at a university nearby. This will be Taylor’s first season coaching and she can’t wait to share her knowledge and love of the game with other players.
